6 Of The Best Christmas Light Displays

It’s beginning to look a lot like the holidays! As the Treasure Valley area becomes aglow with thousands of twinkling lights, spirits are starting to lift! If you want to know where to find the best Christmas lights near Boise, add these 6 hot spots to your list!

#1) Winter Garden aGlow

Winter Garden aGlow – the Garden’s biggest fundraiser of the year – is a magnificent display of lights and decorations arranged throughout the Garden at night. Join us this holiday season as the Garden is transformed into a twinkling wonderland. Create memories with the ones you love and experience over 600,000 lights hung artfully among our landscape.

This event offers our community an opportunity to come together and experience many holiday traditions all in one place. With timed ticketing and no more one-way path, the lines are shorter and you have more space to enjoy the event at your own pace!

Tickets are limited. So, get yours early before they sell out! One-hour timed ticketing blocks are available every thirty minutes.

#2) Scentsy Commons

 
 

There are few better photo-ops in Idaho during the Christmas season than the 250-foot-long light tunnel at Scentsy Commons. According to Scentsy, their display has over 900,000 lights on 450 trees which spread out end to end would cover more than 43 miles. Combine that with the lights on their 75-foot tall Christmas tree and the lights on the tunnel, you’ll get a total of around 987,000 lights. The lights begin on November 11 and will stay on from sunset to sunrise through January 16.

#3) Winter Wonderland Indian Creek Plaza

Winter Wonderland Festival is hosted by Destination Caldwell & Indian Creek Plaza and is completely free to attend - you can visit Santa, go ice skating, eat your favorite treat, or start your holiday shopping with a variety of vendors. We have everything you need to kick off the holidays right here in downtown Caldwell!

The holiday lights along Indian Creek are on for display from November 18 - January 9, the lights turn on automatically at dusk each night. (the best parking is along the Railroad from 5th Ave to 12th Ave).

#4) Boise Trolley Tours

 
 

The Holiday lights tours will start Saturday Dec. 3rd.  at 7pm and run nightly leaving from The Evergreen Business Mall, in the Library Plaza. Look for the lit up Santa Claus outside! These tours leave at 7 pm most nights with additional tours being added at 6 and 8pm the closer we get to Christmas. Christmas Eve. We usually sell out and have 3-4 tours, so make sure to grab your tickets soon. We also do transportation for your private Holiday parties so book early for these events.

#5) Christmas In Color

 
 

Drive through millions of lights perfectly synchronized to holiday music you’ll hear right through your radio. Drive by giant candy canes, snowmen, arched pathways and more. Take your time enjoying this lighting extravaganza - we won’t judge you if you join the kids with your face pressed against the window!

#7) The Village At Meridian

Come ice skate at the COOLEST place in town, The Village at Meridian Ice Rink! This is a great way to enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season with family and friends. Reservations are required and time slots can be booked in 30-minute increments. Daily skate sessions run now through January 16, 2023, weather permitting.
