East End

The upscale East End features a blend of historic and modern architecture, including the elegant geothermal-powered homes along Warm Springs Avenue.

East End

The Warm Springs Avenue and East End historical neighborhoods began to emerge in the 1890s. Homes along Warm Springs Avenue pumped in hot water from East of Table Rock and were among the first in the world to utilize geothermal resources as a source of heat. You will find a mixture of renovated historical Estate Homes with Victorian styles along Warm Springs Avenue, quaint bungalows just around the corner, and multi-level old and new homes just up into Foothills East. The Idaho Botanical Garden highlights native plants and hosts concerts in the summer, and Winter Garden-aGlow with thousands of LED lights around the Holidays. Table Rock is a popular hiking destination, offering views of downtown passing right by the Old Idaho Penitentiary built in 1872 showcasing history exhibits. Head to the Historic Trolley House for homemade style brunch, walk your kids to school at Adams Elementary, and quickly bike to downtown Boise or the Boise River Greenbelt.
